Welcome to the Nene Quilters website, which was launched in conjunction with the twentieth anniversary in 2009. 

We hope to be able to inspire you to greater things, a mix of new ideas, techniques and speakers to whet your appetite. The meetings are for like minded people to socialise, spend money !! and have an enjoyable day. Our meetings are held at the Abbey Centre, Northampton three times a year.

  Our NEXT MEETING is on 9th OCTOBER, 2010   

The group meets and shares ideas, showing our latest creations and hearing the views of speakers who show their works as well.  At these meetings, we normally have trade stalls, a raffle, work tables and a sales stand (of articles donated by members for group funds).

We are aiming to have other hobby stands and a group sales table to see if members are interested. After a welcome from a committee member you are free to wander to the various activities. After the lunch break we usually have a display of show and tell items, which could be displayed on this site with maker’s permission. Also, any notices of upcoming events or other business is sorted before we have our afternoon speaker and finish approx, 3.30p.m.

Reports of each meeting will be posted on this site and you may leave your own comments as well on the message board  for all to see or send an email on the contact us page. It would be good to get some interaction on this message board and get the best feedback on any meeting. We need your comments to make sure the meetings are what you want to see and hear. We usually have two refreshments sessions and help is always appreciated.

To implement this website, we have had the help of Rhod Davies, who, not being a quilter but married to a devotee, has had to put up with a lot of silly questions and ideas but we all hope you like the finished article.
